I’m grateful to see the light at the end of the tunnel as America begins to open back up. Over the last several months, we quickly grew a greater appreciation for the little things in life. Thankfully, our team has adapted well to the new normal. The one thing that remains the same at Dayton Freight is the safety and health of our employees and customers. Whether you’re an essential business or resuming operations, Dayton Freight is here to help!
Our hardworking employees have adjusted many routines as we continue to provide you with the service you have come to know. We quickly implemented social distancing, routine cleaning and changed how Drivers interact with each other and customers. One change you’ve probably witnessed is not requiring a physical signature at the time of pickup or delivery. These distancing procedures differ from our culture of community and celebration, however we understand they are extremely important to the safety of all individuals.
On a positive note, we continue to grow our facilities to be of better service to you. This year we have completed Service Center expansions in Burlington IA, Jackson MI, Bowling Green KY and added new concrete in Tomah WI. We’re on schedule to open two brand-new facilities in Nashville TN and Elgin IL, and our Knoxville TN Service Center will move to a larger facility later this year. We’re excited to grow in these markets and I’m especially eager for the opportunity to handle your Tennessee freight.
